Connecting PlayStation Access Controller to Xbox Console

Set-Up Difficulty: Medium

In order to connect your PlayStation Access Controller to an Xbox console, an adapter needs to be used to “trick” your Xbox into thinking the Access Controller is an Xbox controller. The Brook Wingman XB 3 adapter will allow you to connect and use the PlayStation Access Controller on the Xbox. First, ensure that the Brook Wingman XB 3 is updated to the latest firmware. Then use a USB-C to USB-A cable to plug the PlayStation Access Controller into the adapter and plug the adapter into the Xbox console. The PlayStation Access Controller should now be able to be used on the Xbox.

The buttons on the PlayStation Access Controller will also need to be mapped first to the desired controls before connecting to the Xbox. Typically, this can only be done directly on the PS5 console. However, there is now a website that will allow users to map the controls from their computer. Use the link below to access the website that allows remapping of the controls on the PlayStation Access controller.
